Best Practices for Designing for Ages 4- 18
This presentation was delivered at Content Designer retreats in 2020 and 2021 to over 100 Content Specialists across the country who design items for NWEA’s assessments. This presentation was also delivered to the executive board of NWEA, the accessibility Community of Excellence, Product Managers, and UX Designers to assist them in designing for people aged 4-18.

Insights presented in this document were consolidated from User Experience Research done by myself and the newly-formed UXR team as well as combining best practices research done by Nielsen-Norman, BBC Kids, and previous work I had done with Intel designing the Magic Carpet.
